We had the good fortune of connecting with DeShaun Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi DeShaun, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was it was time. It was time for me to spread my wings, take a leap of faith and believe that everything I learned over the years from working on Podcast shows to working in the Media, I didn’t want to continue to work for companies who don’t appreciate you or value your worth so I felt it was the right time to start my own business.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our art is Interviewing and what sets us apart from others is the amount of support and love we show to are interviewees and the movement we started. Our movement is based on positively, Support and giving are the flowers/recognition they deserve. I wouldn’t say it wasn’t easy because some people might feel that your not being real or genuine about being supportive but with time and everyone who came on or watch our show, they realize that we are being real about giving you your flowers and showing support.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Terry’s BBQ, Punch Bowl Social, Vidorra and Twisted Root Burger Co all in Deep Ellum
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
