We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Feyi Obamehinti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Feyi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was one of service and quality. Serving people through our business and doing it in an excellent way. The combination is expressed in our slogan, “Delivering Quality Service.”
What should our readers know about your business?
Ravir LLC is a Texas based minority woman owned company established in 2007 to provide quality and targeted educational training, technical and consulting services globally. Our passion for excellent customer service is at the core of the services and products we provide to people and organizations globally. We offer training, technical assistance, coaching and consulting services. Using research proven strategies, our services and products are designed to empower and equip people to improve their professional practices and outcomes. What I am most proud of is the multi-talented team and approach of our business. Our multi-talented team cover education, engineering, human resources, churches and non-profit sectors. Our services and products are custom designed with our clients needs in mind. The business started in 2007 as a curriculum design company and pivoted in 2016 to offer customized education professional development services to schools. And this year we improved to provide same services to other industries and not just schools. Every business owner knows first hand the endless hard work it involves to start or run a business. Same can be said of Ravir LLC, not easy but worth every hard work put into it to serve people and organizations with our professional learning services. One major lesson learned along the way that is central to our story and brand is that: delivering quality service is all about pivoting and continuous improvement.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of the places I have taken and shown friends visiting the area are: 1. Fort Worth Stockyard and lunch or dinner at Heim BBQ. 2. Fort Worth Zoo and Botanical Gardens with a dinner at Sikhay Thai Lao 3. Fort Worth Amon Carter Museum of American Art and Cowgirl Museum with dinner at Texas de Brazil 4. Dallas Deep Ellum Taste of Texas Tour (always an exciting day doing this) 5. Magnolia Market at the Silos | Chip & Joanna Gaines in Waco 6. The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum and lunch or dinner at HG Sply Co. in lower Greenville. 7. Church service at Gateway Church in Southlake
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that have contributed to my business success. I am fortunate to have a long line of support from my immediate family- my wonderful husband, to my 3 beautiful daughters, to my colleagues (especially Dr. Gutierrez) to organizations like the DFW International Airport small business programs.
