We had the good fortune of connecting with Fanny Kerwich and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fanny, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I am from the French circus world, 8th generation artists. When I moved to Dallas I was surprised that there was no circus in the Dallas metroplex. I had no venue to practice and continue to develop my passion for circus arts. Thus, I founded my own circus school. My vision was to give the opportunity to the youth and everyone interested to explore the circus arts and to express themselves through Circus. The idea came naturally as an opportunity. I have pursued an artistic and creative career thanks to my passion for circus.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am an 8th-generation performer of a well-known French circus family. I grew up in the circus community since childhood. The circus has been my everyday energy. I attended the famous Annie Fratellini National Circus School in Paris, then studied in Moscow with the legendary circus act director Valentin Gneushev. I have always been driven by the desire to start my own school one day and share my passion. When I moved to the United States, there was no circus. My passion for pursuing circus arts came naturally to me, in fact. In 2006, I founded Lone Star Circus. Lone Star Circus has flourished and has become one of the premier circus schools in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. We all have a unique perspective on success and what it means to us. To me, one of the keys to my success is work ethic and discipline. The circus profession is a demanding and challenging endeavor. My work ethic and discipline have kept me pushing forward and staying focused on achieving great outcomes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We have achieved our success through hard work, passion and self-confidence. The most important lesson my career has taught me is that there is more than talent, but rather the outcome of consistent striving. Over and above that, it is also about having a strong organizational structure. Also, working hard and working with a reliable team that is always on board.
