We had the good fortune of connecting with Laury and Carlos Arce and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laury and Carlos, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought of starting our own business was very intimating at first, even more so for me. My husband has been wanting to have his own business for at least the last 10 years. It has always been in his mind but never “a good time” to take a risky endeavor. 10 years ago we were young professionals, a growing family, a mortgage to pay, and no money to really make such a big investment. Fast forward 10 years later and now we feel more grounded, more established, our careers have grown into stable corporate jobs, so we feel more secure taking a calculated risk.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are opening a franchise called Body Fit Training (BFT). BFT falls under Xponential Fitness. http://www.bodyfittraining.com/

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Frisco Texas has a lot to offer. Planning a day in Frisc0 for out of town visitors in the summer: We live very close by to the Star (8 minutes) so we would probably have lunch at one of the restaurants there and take some selfies in front of the Ford Center. We would enjoy some pool time in our backyard and head to a FC Dallas soccer game in the evening. We could also head for a night out at Legacy West to enjoy live music at the Legacy Hall (12 minutes away from our home).
A week long trip: Definitely would have to be a beach destination; Cancun, Miami or board a Royal Caribbean cruise leaving from Galveston port.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Roxanne Rapske at FranNet was wonderful to work with and guide us through the franchise search process.
