We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea & Danielle Posey & Slaten and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chelsea & Danielle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our thought process behind starting our own business was to be able to get our feet in the sustainable fashion industry. We both have always had a love for all things vintage. We also are both passionate about saving our planet from over consuming fast fashion. Together the idea formed to create Evolving Aesthetics where sustainability meets vintage meets affordability!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We both agree that Evolving Aesthetics would not be where it is at today if we didn’t have each other. I think our friendship has really allowed us to make hard decisions together that were needed to bring the success we have had so far. We both are mothers and wives and have a lot going on at all times, we are so proud of our dedication to bringing unique vintage pieces to people at an affordable cost. We want the world to know that shopping from local sustainable fashion businesses will be a factor in helping save this planet and we are proud to be a part of that movement.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love Fort Worth! We would definitely be taking our friend to the stockyards for some good Texas fun. We love eating at our favorite Mexican restaurant Joe T Garcias for their amazing margaritas, walking around downtown Fort Worth and sightseeing!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to shoutout our spouses and children that have been there supporting us since the very beginning! They have watched us jump big hurdles in this business along the way and every time they are in our corner rooting for our success.
