We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Woodson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I feel as though, anything meaningful in life causes for risk to be taken at some point in time. You have to assess every step because one wrong move can throw off your momentum or completely destroy what you were trying to build. I think for me it’s more so about taking the calculated risks instead of just diving in on a Hail Mary so to speak. The risks I’ve taken were small risks but they were definitely needed to get me to where I am.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from the rest of the Dallas music crowd is my character. I truly stay in my own lane, I know many people say it but I embody the phrase by being so incognito. I try to stray away from negative music, there’s already too much of that saturating the market. The way I deliver my art is very much so lyrical as well as melodic, which gives an even balance all around. One main lesson I learned was you can never be perfect but you can perfect your craft to it’s best abilities. I want the world to know & see that you don’t have to sell drugs or be some thuggish criminal to be successful in this music industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m all about eating & having fun, so here we go. We definitely would have to go to Chicken Scratch in West Dallas, Serious Pizza (one of the best pizza places I’ve ever been to in life lol), Louisiana Chicken (some of the best fried rice & chicken strips) & 303 in Oak Cliff (drinks are always on point & the food is great).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this Shout-out to my team & inner circle of super friends lol. IBUM (I Beat Up Monkey), BSMG, KFI, The Eardrum Studio & DallasWallStreet.
