We had the good fortune of connecting with Gustavo and Karla Cedillos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gustavo and Karla, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success has to be our Faith! We believe in reaching people and building lives. We believe that we have been called to help others not just in Real Estate and finding their home but in all aspects of life. We don’t just do transactions, we love people and we love what we do. Our clients are not just clients they become friends and sometimes even family!

We know what god has called us to do and why we are here, so we just do it! We want to make a difference in people’s lives and our service doesn’t stop after we sell or help them buy a home, we are are there for them for life!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are all about family! I think that’s what sets us apart from other Realtors. We focus on family first. We homeschool both our children because it’s important for us to know that they are learning God’s word and we are teaching Biblical principles. We are very intentional with our time, so we have to set time aside each morning for homeschool. They go to showings with us and they sometimes do open houses with us. Our clients love that we are so family focused. We also really enjoy taking our clients out to eat and spending time with their families, it’s a great way to build relationships.

We also put God first in everything we do! We try not to work Sunday’s unless we absolutely have to.

We like to help out our community as much as possible and we are very active with our local PTA group and our church.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love taking new clients out for BBQ, most of our clients are from California, New York and other states, so they have never really had good BBQ. We enjoy taking them to Hutchen’s, Local Yocal in Mckinney and Tender in Celina. We also like to refer people to some great attractions in Dallas, like the Dallas World Aquarium. We also like to take them to soccer games since we are big soccer fans and enjoy watching FD Dallas

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There were a lot of twists and turns to our success, but we have been surrounded by friends that have truly helped us grow and have been brutally honest when needed. We like to surround ourselves with like minded people.

Our business really took a turn and went uphill once we partnered up with EXP Realty and my husband decided to join me full time in Real Estate, the group we are part of is truly amazing and challenge us daily to be consistent and to push ourselves out of our comfort zone. We love the flexibility we have with a virtual brokerage and how convenient it is to work from home. We love it!
