We had the good fortune of connecting with Petra Pindar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Petra, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be that I didn’t let other people decide how I show up. It’s important that we each feel safe enough to show up as our true and authentic selves, so that we can actively invest in the communities we want to build. I want for people to remember that not only did I create safe spaces for others but I required them for myself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
While I am an attorney, I focus on conflict resolution and specialize in mediation and effective communication skill building. I’m proud of creating a niche for myself professionally that has helped me to build my personal brand of nurturing and advocating for healthy relationships.

It was not easy to go down a non-traditional path but it was important to show that you can define success for yourself.

By merging my faith and my professional expertise, I am pushing for a safe space for faith girls to show up as themselves fully on every platform. I even created a non-profit, that helps to equip women of faith and business who want to build sustainable legacies within their communities after first building healthy relationship with themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in what I consider to be a small town, with my best friends LOL. So, we would likely do brunch at this spot called Afternoon, check out the art show or hop in the car for a quick road trip. And of course that would include shopping, junk food, eating at an Italian restaurant, catching a show and then crashing before heading back home. A whirlwind 24-48 hours of laughing, singing trap and worship songs interchangeably and being young. It would not be a week. We talk daily haha.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My girls are absolutely the best support system and team I could ever ask for. They have helped me to both realize and pursue my dreams.
