We had the good fortune of connecting with Rhett Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rhett, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Growing up, both of my parents were entrepreneurs, so naturally it kind of “ran in my blood”. My older brother now owns his own moving business, so it was only a matter of time before I started mine. To me, the freedom that comes with being your own boss is priceless. Granted, you do have to work harder and longer each day, but I wouldn’t change it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Fort Creative is a creative agency based out of Fort Worth, Texas. Our goal is to make the world a better place one brand at a time. If we make your brand better in some way, shape, or form then we become better.

I graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2021, so having that experience has definitely helped me. The classes I was able to take and the people I was able to meet have absolutely been foundational to my business.

Starting a business is never easy. I have definitely had my fair share of all-nighters to make sure things get done. Managing a business from social life has been a struggle as well. You have to sacrifice a little social time for business to make sure you deliver what you need to.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Fort Worth has to be the best city in Texas!

You could spend a whole day just in the Stockyards. Hotel Drover, Lucchese, King Ranch, Best Hat Store, & Tecovas are all on the list of places to check out. The Trinity trails have some of the best views of Fort Worth. West 7th and Montgomery Plaza have great shopping and food, definitely grab a bite at Rodeo Goat, which in my opinion, is the best burger in Fort Worth. Spend a day at the famous Fort Worth Zoo, then head down the street to see the beautiful TCU campus. Honestly, there is not enough time in one week to really see Fort Worth, home to so many awesome breweries, shops, and scenic places!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Firstly, my wife Allison deserves more credit than I can even put into words. Thank you for being there through all the highs and lows, and for being my rock. My family, Ben, Riley, & Mackenzie, thank you for always pushing me to be the best person/businessman I can possibly be. Thank you for always being a listening ear whenever I need one. My close friends, thank you for supporting my small business.
