We had the good fortune of connecting with Baila Milliken and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Baila, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was simple. To help my husband support our family and to be able to enjoy life with our kiddos! Being able to have the extra income has allowed us more trips to visit family, more day trips to do fun things with the kids and less stress due to bills!

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a lifestyle + editorial and wedding photographer based in East Texas. My journey has been slow moving due to having my kids, but this year I have taken it to the next level and my business has grown exponentially. I love capturing families, the bonds that never break, and the covenant of marriage. Those two events are my favorite to photograph.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Rodeo Goat for sure! The atmosphere in Rockwall is insanely good and the food at Rodeo Goat is phenomenal.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family. They have been without a doubt the most supportive in my journey of becoming a photographer! I couldn’t do this without them!
