Meet Tiffanie Munoz | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffanie Munoz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffanie, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Probably to just start believing in myself & my work. I’ve always tried to please people and kinda do what they wanna do & not what I would love to do. It’s taught me that it’s okay to know your worth of your craft. To believe in yourself & don’t let people take that for granted

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I’ve always wanted to touch people with my work. I’ve always been someone who has struggled with anxiety, Depression & self acceptance and knew that I wanted to make people whoever I’m photographing feel 100% beautiful in their own skin. To showcase a story that will touch people in many ways.
I’ve learned that people will either love or hate your work.. that apart of working in this type of industry, if you can overcome the criticism and know your worth in your work then there shouldn’t be anyone stopping you from doing what you love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As an artist I love art & getting inspired so I’d probably take them out to the city. Look at some museums, find a good food place. Or definitely take them thrifting, I mean who doesn’t love a good bargain!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to give credit to my parents, they are the ones to push me in believing in myself & following my dreams. No matter how many times I want to give up they are always there encouraging me every step of the way.
I’d also like to give thanks to my high school art teacher Mr. Randall. He was basically my mentor throughout high school. He was the first person that actually saw my work as art and kept encouraging me to keep photographing. I’ve learned a lot about photography/art through him. Trusting in the process and learning how to take criticism is the main takeaways I learned from him and cannot thank him enough for everything he’s taught me.
