I used to think about work/life balance as a 50/50 split. This motivated me to focus on finding work that was in line with my artistic passions. But this mentality quickly led to burnout and made me vulnerable for companies to take advantage and exploit. My twenties were a decade of me coming to terms with the fact that life should not be 50% work and 50% life.
