We had the good fortune of connecting with Myriam Diaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myriam, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Working at Boston Consulting Group was a transformative experience for me. In the beginning, I was working around the clock, often 24/7, and struggled to find a healthy balance. However, through that intense period, I learned the importance of effectively timeboxing my work. By setting clear boundaries and scheduling time for rest and breaks on certain days, I’ve managed to achieve a much healthier work-life balance. This approach not only improved my productivity but also my overall well-being. I’m grateful for those challenging times, as they taught me how to prioritize and maintain equilibrium in my professional and personal life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am extremely proud of my PR firm and its current success. Our journey began organically—my business partner and I started strategizing for our friends’ businesses, which led to remarkable results such as attracting new customers, resolving retention issues, and securing better partnerships. This initial success inspired us to formally establish our firm.

What sets us apart is our unique approach, combining our PR and marketing skills with strategy and analytical thinking. We don’t pitch campaigns to clients without comprehensive data analysis to support our strategies. This ensures that every campaign is grounded in solid evidence and poised for success. Our holistic approach allows us to deliver results that are not only creative but also measurable and impactful.

The road to where we are today wasn’t always easy. We faced numerous challenges, from building our client base to refining our service offerings. However, we overcame these obstacles through perseverance, continuous learning, and a steadfast commitment to our vision.

One key lesson we’ve learned along the way is the importance of adaptability and listening to both our clients and the market. Being receptive to feedback and willing to pivot when necessary has been crucial to our growth.

What I want the world to know about our brand and story is that we are passionate about what we do and dedicated to our clients’ success. Our firm is not just about executing PR campaigns; it’s about creating strategic partnerships that drive real business growth. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend visited Dallas for a week, we’d start with a classic (tacos at Velvet Taco) and relax at Klyde Warren Park. We’d explore cultural spots like the Dallas Museum of Art and the Sixth Floor Museum, and enjoy outdoor activities at the Dallas Arboretum and Katy Trail. Dining highlights would include Pecan Lodge for barbecue, Uchi for sushi, and Tei-An for Japanese cuisine. For shopping and entertainment, we’d visit NorthPark Center and the Bishop Arts District, and cap off the week with a visit to White Rock Lake and dinner at Nick & Sam’s.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my parents, who made the courageous decision to move to Dallas from Mexico and built a wonderful life for me. Their resilience, hard work, and unwavering support have consistently inspired me to be the best version of myself, both personally and professionally.

Additionally, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my first mentor, Veeral Rathod. He gave me my initial opportunity with an internship at a fashion brand, which sparked my passion for Fashion Merchandising. This pivotal experience set the foundation for my career in consulting and entrepreneurship within the fashion industry.

His guidance and encouragement have been instrumental in shaping my journey, and I am deeply grateful.
