Through our work we have had the good fortune of seeing firsthand how success comes in every shape, size, color, faith, and orientation. More importantly we’ve learned that success is often the result of people embracing their unique backgrounds and so we’ve asked the community to tell us about their background and how it has impacted where they are today.

John Eisenberg | Sports Author

Looking back, I was almost destined to become a sports author. I grew up in Dallas, Texas, in a family where reading was emphasized. There were books all over the house. We took morning and evening newspapers. Television wasn’t as pervasive in the culture so I read a lot. I also enjoyed watching and playing sports. The football Cowboys were a relatively new franchise and my grandfather bought season tickets for the whole family. Jessica Love | Interior Designer

My name is Jessica Love and I am originally from Liberty, a small town in East Texas. My upbringing in a low-income family, often sharing a room with my younger sister or having limited privacy in a strict household, played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today. These early life experiences instilled in me a deep-seated need for personal space, which unknowingly ignited my interest in design. It was a space where I could feel safe and secure, a haven that was distinctly mine. This need for creating personal, meaningful spaces led me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Interior Design. For nearly two decades in the design industry, these roots have continuously influenced my work. My background has endowed me with an empathetic understanding of the importance of personal space, regardless of its size or grandeur. It has driven me to focus on creating not just aesthetically pleasing environments, but also functional, comforting spaces that resonate with the personal narratives of those inhabiting them. My approach to design is deeply rooted in my early life experiences, emphasizing the creation of spaces that offer security, comfort, and a sense of belonging. Read more>>
