We had the good fortune of connecting with Trinette Pierre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trinette, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
TRImani Consulting, LLC was started because of my passion for helping leaders excel and be successful in their professional responsibilities. Throughout my 30+ years in the workforce, I have practiced in the realms of business, healthcare, education, etc. Regardless of the role I held, one thing remained constant: My love for listening and giving assistance to those who needed advice on how to improve their professionalism and grow their leadership prowess. Although this was something that I enjoyed, it was not my primary role at the time. In 2018, God granted me the idea of starting my own business with the focus of doing what I loved: developing leaders and positively affecting the careers of those who needed me. While it was simply a notion that I was considering at the time, I began working behind the scenes to complete the many processes surrounding beginning a business and creating a business entity. I did not have experience in starting a business; therefore, the process was a serious learning opportunity and one that would force me to be dedicated to the work needing to be done to be successful. This ultimately caused me to be much more passionate about the undertakings and responsibilities of my business. After 1.5 long years of working hard to build my business entity, attaining various certifications in executive coaching and leadership development, and taking courses that would benefit my new company, TRImani Consulting, LLC was born in July 2020. It has been a journey that I am forever grateful to have traveled.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, I’m a sucker for a good spa day! I have been a long-time client of Spa at II Creeks in Richardson, TX. I also love my new haunt, The Spa at the Joule. I’ll be making another appointment soon. I recommend readers try these places! They will be hooked!
Prior to the pandemic, I enjoyed going to eat-in theaters, such as Studio Movie Grill and B&B Theaters in Wylie, TX. Both are phenomenal experiences and I highly recommend everyone visit these amazing theaters.
The Dallas Arboretum should not be missed. It is one of my favorite places in the spring and fall. There are amazing exhibits and beautiful flowers. I plan to visit in the upcoming months. I also love attending festivals on weekends. There’s something about spending time walking around and taking in all that is offered at festivals.
I’m a New Orleans native, so food is very important to me. There are so many amazing places to eat in DFW! I’m a huge Mexican food Italian food, and Soul Food gal, so I will go anywhere that offers these food types. I love the staples, Rosa’s Tortilla Factory and El Fenix for Mexican greats. Of course, Maggiano’s for Italian food. For Soul Food, I have visited Sweet Georgia Brown’s quite a few times and was never disappointed. I am looking forward to trying Granny’s Kitchen/Catering in Dallas, and Sweet Bella’s Soul Food on Forest Ln in Dallas. For a great vegan option, try Da Munchies. Best vegan dishes EVER. Love them. Of course, if you need a good bowl of gumbo, red beans ‘n rice, or New Orleans style bread pudding, come see me.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge God Who has allowed me to take this journey of self-discovery and self-growth that has resulted in TRImani Consulting, LLC. I am so blessed to have guidance from God throughout this journey. Nothing is impossible with Him.
I must acknowledge my wonderful family. I am blessed with a family that loves one another, supports one another, and uplifts one another at every turn of life. My parents (Jerrald and Christine Pierre) have always been there for me and my siblings and I’m so grateful that we were able to grow up in a home where there was love, faith, and fun. We would be nothing without my amazing parents. I love and am grateful for my amazingly wonderful siblings: Carmel, Sharen, and Jerrald, Jr. and their spouses – Joe, Gary, and Britney. My wonderful bunch of nephews and nieces are the loves of my life and I’m blessed to have watched them grow up in love and joyful surroundings. My nephews and nieces whom I love so much are Joey and his wife, Rachel, Jefferey and his wife, Rodri, Jeremy, Christyan, Gabe, Gideon, Chloe, and Kailey Skye. My awesome great-nieces and great-nephews include 7 beautiful little people who make life worth living: Jasmine, Zoey, Camille, Brooklyn, Jade, Ryan…and one more little pumpkin on the way. Also, my girls whom I love so much and who are just as much sisters as my flesh and blood sisters: Tonya, Wanda, Marcia, Ny’kiel, Monica, Eva, Whitney, Angel, Angelica, and so many more. My family is very close and we spend a lot of time together, which is a true blessing from God. I would not trade any amount of success or fortune for the love and amazing relationships we have.
I must also mention some of the most influential people who have been a part of my life for the past 10+ years: My former team at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX – The 5 Medicine PCU Team and the PCU Critical Care leadership group. I grew my career watching these individuals selflessly care for others who were in need. I am forever grateful for the relationships that I formed within the confines of that hospital system. Those relationships have changed my life in the best way.
Without these amazing individuals, I would not be who I am today. I am so blessed to have each of them in my life and I thank them for being a part of my crazy story.
