We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephany Ficut and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephany, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would probably say hard work and discipline. To have a goal and to do anything and everything you can to reach that goal. To never give up. To strive to be better at your craft, it’s a never ending process.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a professional photographer specializing in Maternity and Newborn Fine art portraits. We are an all inclusive studio that provides a complete service from start to end. All our sessions are personalized for each individual client. We provide a beautiful wardrobe collection of over 80 designer gowns and a variety of bodysuits and luxurious fabrics for studio sessions. We also offer hair and makeup services for our clients and provide all the necessary props for sessions. Each session is specifically designed and customized so that it reflects you, your family and the little miracle growing within you. I started photography in 2011 so almost 9 years ago. It has definitely been a journey and it took years to find who I really was as an artist. I would probably say that my biggest challenge was starting over my business when I moved here to the US. I was born and grew up in Romania, Eastern Europe and moved to the US about 6 years ago. It took a lot of hard work and dedication and there were many moments in which I wanted to give up, but I kept on going. I kept on working to reach my goal and prove to myself that I could make it as an artist in such a big new world. I realized throughout this journey that you can do anything you put your mind to, the questions is “how much do you want it?” and “are you willing to make all the sacrifices for it?”.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Reunion Tower is a must for fine dining and an amazing view, it is definitely a tourist attraction. To see more of the city we would probably visit Downtown Dallas and Downtown Fort Worth. For a fun walk we would check out the Arboretum or the Botanical Garden in FW. Of course a shopping spree is a must, for that I would recommend North Park Mall or The Galleria Mall.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Firstly God and secondly my husband. I started photography while I was residing in Europe but six years ago I moved to the US and had to start my business all over. It was incredibly hard starting something in a country where you don’t know anyone and no one knows you. There were moments when I didn’t know if I should keep going but my husband has always encouraged me and believed in me. He was there for me every step of the way, in all the big and small decisions I had to make for my business and always ready to help with anything he could. He was/is my number one supporter!
