Mallory Martin | Social Impact Entrepreneur
Mended is a social impact business with a mission is to provide economic empowerment to survivors of modern-day slavery through the production of block printed textiles created for the global-conscious partner. Our team of 23 men and women live in a rural community in South India and, while no longer enslaved, were having a very difficult time finding consistent work paying fair wages. Mended was able to train the team on the centuries-old printing technique of block printing and have provided consistent orders since the fall of 2020. Read more>>

Tim Kyser literally grew up in the dry-cleaning industry. He played in a crib at the back of the Kyser’s family corner dry-cleaners. As the years went on, he helped in all aspects of the business becoming a well-respected expert in the industry. Despite graduating with college honors in engineering, Tim’s heart remained intertwined with the family dry-clean business and its legacy. Throughout the years he wrestled with the environmental implications of traditional dry-cleaning methods, particularly as an avid outdoorsman with a deep connection to nature. Read more>>

It is very important to me and my team that LX Artworks Gallery is an asset to the DFW community. When we opened the gallery, my head gallerist and I sat down and brainstormed about how we would use the gallery to uplift our community.
