We asked some brilliant folks from the community to talk to us about how they think about risk and the role risk has played in their lives and careers.

I believe risk is both something to strive for and avoid depending on the context. There is unnecessary risk and necessary risk. Unnecessary risk avoids pragmatic behavior and puts you in a bind due to errors in preparation, judgment, etc. Testing how fast your car can go during rush hour traffic certainly involves unnecessary risk. I think that starting a business in itself is a risk but early on, I took small and safe risks with investing money into my business. I had quit my job and was scared to throw all of my money into the business. It took me some time to realize that I needed to take more risks and trust myself. I’m glad that I finally decided to take bigger risks and it provided even bigger returns and my business has continued to grow every since then. Read more>>

Taking risks is a vital part to every business. Even to start A business you must take a calculated risk to jump off the edge when everyone tells you not to go. Taking risks has always played a huge role in my life and business. When Turfboss started in 2016 my family had it all.
