I actually kept myself busy by working out every day. I belong to the gym called Hotworx and during the quarantine they released virtual training programs on their app and every day I did at least 30 minutes of some type of isometric workout plus worked out on my treadmill. I did not want to become so frazzled that I would lose touch with myself and not be able to take care of my kids and still be their mom and their teacher. To be honest, its been sewing and spending more time with family. I truly enjoy sewing already, but I finally had the time to make things for myself. Working from home has been busy so, it has been great to get away to my sewing room and sew my cares away. I started making masks for family and now I am working on making masks for the Dallas community. I always spend time with my family, however being on quarantine, gave us the much needed time and focus to strengthen our bonds. Read more>>
Kayley Nell Walker | Singer-Songwriter
In addition to being an independent singer-songwriter, I work full time at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in the Education Department. My role is Community Outreach Coordinator and I plan music programs for local youth and families. During quarantine, my team and I have been hosting Songwriting 101 workshops via Zoom, as well as promoting weekly Instagram Live “Words and Music at Home” sessions with artists such as Carly Pearce, Blanco Brown and Brett Young. My favorite thing to do during quarantine has been painting and drawing. I love being creative so putting my ideas onto a canvas is definitely exciting for me. I’ve also been brushing up on my design skills and learning about new trends and techniques. Being a creative you always have to learn new things and keep up with what is currently going on.
