We had the good fortune of connecting with Yessy Rosas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yessy, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I decided I wanted to start my own business because I wanted to pursue my dreams in the beauty industry. Working in the bank industry for several many years drained me & my capability. I knew I was capable of so much much more. I decided to take the risk & leave the steady paychecks behind. I knew running a business was going to be a 24/7 job & I was ready to dedicate my all to my small business. I was more motivated than ever to pursue my career upon my daughters arrival. Once she was 3 months I enrolled in Beauty School & started my Esthetician Journey there. I started my business & started booking clients while in Beauty School & slowly started building my clientele. Working for myself & investing so much in my career has been the best decision I could possibly make.

What should our readers know about your business?
’m super thankful & blessed to be able to wake up every single day & do what I love. Starting my business & being able to pursue my dreams has been a though ride. My husband had to work out of town & long hours to be able & pay in full for my education. The biggest challenge I went through was leaving behind my 3 month old daughter for 5 long months. Including going through postpartum at the same time. I felt as a mother I missed so many milestones of my daughter, but I knew everything was going to be worth it one day. This is why everyday I give the best version of myself to every single client who comes in to my studio. I invested so much time & money into my small business to be able & provide a comfort zone beauty studio for my clients.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely recommend the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shout out all my family & friends for being so supportive & supporting me through this journey. Big shoutout to my husband for working long hours to pay for my education & my sister for being a second mother to my daughter & taking good care of her for 5 full time months!
