We had the good fortune of connecting with Xzeré Noire and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Xzeré, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
One of the hardest decisions I had to make was choosing the path of which I wanted my brand to go. The outline of Xzeré Noire.

I had so many ideas and creative juices going in my head without a solid foundation of what the brand is.

Xzeré Noire, is a revolutionary brand consisting of fashion, art, and consciousness.

The pursuit of success gave me two choices to grow or become famous. Yet, choices toward growth and obtaining fame are not the same. Fame seemed to take more out of the brand than adding anything to it. However, the process of creating and maintaining allowed me to grow in ways that could not be taken away because they were and are in me.

Yet, it was a conscious decision that had to be made. In business, the focus of the brand shifted to creating tangible values in the community even outside of clothing. “Ideal Woman” is a journal created to provide an outlet for women and young girls to express their worth.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The thing that sets me apart is the ability to see the gaps in the culture and provide solutions through art. Fashion is art. The human mind is art.

I’m most proud of the way the brand is evolving through the process. As the process is embraced the maturity of the brand does as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In my view,

My favorite part of the city is downtown Dallas for the colorful lights. Soul food comes with good vibes and great times. We would go to South Dallas Cafe to get collard greens, yams, blackeyed peas, and whatever meat you could think of.

Art museums are a must to discuss different perspectives on the same topics. The DMA would be something we’d do as well.

All and all, anywhere we would go would be cozy and welcoming!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am forever grateful for God, family, and my mentors in fashion and life who continue to set me apart from others by holding me accountable to my morals.
