We had the good fortune of connecting with xavier Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi xavier, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always enjoyed teaching and I realized that I have knowledge that is highly sought after.

What should our readers know about your business?
I teach marksmanship and different forms self defense. With my extensive experience and knowledge I specialize in meeting the client at their specific need. Many people go to big box sporting stores and hope they are receiving good advice. What they end up with is a salesman trying to meet a quota. In turn they end up purchasing the salespersons favorite firearm or one they hate. Or the husband or male friend goes and purchase something small and cute for them. Ultimately they hate it or they are scared of it. We offer one on one, group and family training. Along the way I’ve learned that every customer is not your customer. People have needs but they must know the need behind the need. XMC Defense and XMC Enterprises are grown out of passion and love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Dinner- Monarch Drinks Kessaku in the observation deck.
I would suggest Virgin Hotel for the stay.
In the summer definitely the Virgin Pool Club.
Also any venue that DJ XC2 is performing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife and 2 children. My wife Kelsea of 22yrs. My daughter Kelsea and son Xavier II. They have been my support and motivation. I grew up without a father so I wanted to show them the example of what a good father and is.
