Meet Veronica Hynes | Permanent Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Hynes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
Oh, man! My end goal is to be a Master Trainer in Permanent Makeup, own multiple businesses, and have my own non-profit foundation. I have an end goal but I don’t think I fully have an end goal. What I mean by that, is once I reach my goal I reset my goals so I feel like it’s a never ending goal lol. Challenging yourself, that’s the fun part. As a business owner it’s hard not to think of the next business venture you want to take on.
Currently, the goal is to be one of the Top Master Trainer in Permanent Makeup. My passion for my career has grown so much I want to share it with everyone.

By the end of my career I would love to travel to teach, have 5 Permanent Makeup locations, and 3 other locations (A Boutique, Real Estate, and Trading). Lastly, have my successful non-profit foundation to help homeless children and young adults. I want to help make a difference in their lives and if I may, be a mentor to them. I know what it’s like to not have both parent in your life, to be homeless, to fight for what you want because no one really understands you or believes in you. God put me in this world to give back and that’s exactly what I will do!

My life and career will then be complete.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

Beauty is art! The artistic freedom I get with my career in Permanent Makeup is so rewarding. I am proud of surviving my first year in my business. From getting my License, LLC, bank account, etc. These accomplishments may seem small but they are a huge step to the start of a new business venture.

Starting a business is definitely not easy, it was a roller coaster ride. You’ll have to invest a lot more before you start to see a return. By changing your mindset and with Real Beauty Bosses coaching (marketing agency) I was able to overcome these challenges and start making money! Being in business requires on-going education, elevating your knowledge, and being consistent, that is what will set you apart from other. This career and being a business owner has also taught me to expose myself by making new connections and networking it makes a huge difference!

In my career, I’d like to say I’m known for my eyebrow services and lip blush / neutralizing services. All my services are customized to your skin and beauty goals. I work with what you have and build around it, that’s my aesthetic. My goal is to provide you with high-quality work giving you the most natural look that you will absolutely love!

I knew I was put in this world to give back. Especially, when I see how happy my clients get when they see their results. Hearing, “I never felt so confident,” or “thank you for making me feel beautiful and putting back what cancer took!” That fulfills my heart and lights the fire to my passion. It makes me push harder and it’s a confirmation to myself that I made the right decision!

That is how Slay Confidently Brows by Vee was born! We have big plans ahead one being opening a beauty bar and offering training. I’m excited and I hope to gain your support throughout this journey. <3

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh, man! There is so many places to visit and see. One place I really enjoyed is the riverwalk in San Antonio. I recommend the boat ride with the bartender. On a normal day in Dallas I enjoy hanging out at the AT&T District. It’s such a chill vibe. The food and drinks are good you won’t be disappointed. Across the street is the Adolphus Hotel they have a roof top pool rent out a cabana and relax! Another great roof top pool is Waterproof at the Statler Hotel. There is so much to do I’m still exploring places and meeting great people along the way!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely want to shoutout God! Through life and through this journey he’s blessed me and protected me giving me strength to make it through. I want to shoutout my husband and his family. They’ve been so supportive it gives me so much confidence that I’m in the right path. They always hype me up it’s so encouraging it gives me the strength to keep pushing!

Before being a Permanent Makeup Artist I was in Pharmacy school. I went from studying medicine to joining the beauty industry (which I had zero knowledge in) I was lost I didn’t know what to do. All I knew is get an LLC and a business bank account, I’ll figure the rest as I go, Well, I did that, then what? I was stuck I didn’t know what my next step was or should be.

Then I came across RBB they taught me and continue to teach me how to run a business. They taught me how to market myself by doing “Organic Marketing” using social media. Everything is hands on and they do weekly coaching calls to mentor you through the program. They give so much valuable information. They really set you up for success it’s up to you to put in the work. They taught me how to make $10K+ per month.
All you have to do is tell them your target monthly goal and they will give you EVERYTHING you need to reach that goal and more!
RBB is my second family and thanks to Katie, Jordan, Brie, and the whole RBB crew that works behind the scene, I now know how to run a business. Not only how to run it but how to get clients, how to hire and how to scale my commissions, I can go on!
