We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracy Graham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracy, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
The amount of time that goes into learning so many different facets of social media. As a blogger, our whole business is centered around figuring out how to rank on google and how to reach a wider audience. There is so much strategy involved behind the scenes in blogging. How easy it would be to just post pictures and move on but there is so much more to it in order to bring our readers what they truly want.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started a blog as a way to express myself in writing. I love doing home projects and decorating spaces for friends so I wanted to have a central location where I could share that as well as yummy recipes, life events, current fashion trends and so many other fun topics. It has not always been an easy journey, in fact, it is the hardest job I have ever had, but the reward has been great as well. I have met so many amazing women that truly love to build each other up and help each other thrive. I have learned that if you truly love something and enjoy doing it, just keep doing it and it will eventually pay off. Stay true to who you are and let your light shine.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A few of my favorite spots to visit are the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Zoo, the Dallas Arboretum and of course going to any sporting event, whether it be the Rangers, the Cowboys or the Mavericks. I love having Mexican food at Anamia’s. For the best burgers, I go to Katy Trail. My two favorite local coffee shops Armor Coffee in Allen or Mudleaf Coffee in Plano. I love shopping for home decor items at Home Goods and Target. Kylde Warren Park is a must see as well as the Sixth Floor Museum. And when in Texas, you have to eat some yummy BBQ and Hutchins is my very favorite!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I started this blogging journey with absolutely zero knowledge of what it meant to be a blogger. I had a sweet friend Tana at Your Marketing BFF that took me under her wing and created my blog from scratch. She has taught me so many things about blogging and I could never repay her enough. I have also received a ton of mentoring from my dear friend KariAnne at Thistlewood Farms blog. She has a mastermind group that has a goal of helping bloggers become the best at what they do.
