We had the good fortune of connecting with Tish Amos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tish, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I decided to pursue career because I truly enjoy cooking and food! I love that food change you whole day! I growing up I watched my grandmothers and mom cook and how much joy it brought to people. I wanted a piece of that! I’ve worked in the administrative field for over 10 years and in my last position I did a lot in the events realm so I got to work with all sorts of vendors and with caterers. I absolutely loved it, I knew then I had to follow my dream. In March of this year I had to be at home with the kids because they were thrown into online learning because of COVID19. This gave me more time to work on my craft. I started meal prepping for people and I’ve catered a couple small events. So in August, I launched adishwithtish. I’m also working on starting a food blog.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I’m most proud of for adishwithtish is that people are truly enjoying my food. I wish so nervous to launch my Instagram page I mean it took MONTHS. Once I launched it there was no turning back. I’m still very much in the beginning states of my culinary career so right now I haven’t really had challenges. Some lessons I’ve learned is to go at my own pace. Sometimes you feel pressure to post every day but I find when I stick to my schedule things run much smoother! What I want people to know about me is that I love what I do and with every dish I make it created with love and passion!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Gosh! So many places but if I had to narrow it down. In Dallas, I would go to Klyde Warren Park so we could hit the food trucks and/or Rudy’s Chicken (I’m a sucker for fried chicken!!) In Fort Worth, I would go to Clearfork food truck park (clearly there is a theme here, lol), Baja grill in Watauga (they have some AMAZING margs) and because I’m a big kid at heart SIX FLAGS…lol! Who doesn’t love six flags! (and I can get my fried dough fix)!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this shoutout to my boys for inspiring me everyday. I also want to shoutout my boyfriend for always encouraging me to pursue my dream!
