If I’m being completely honest, it all came down to creating financial security for my family. As a single mom with three beautiful daughters, the responsibility to provide for them and give them the life they deserve can feel enormous. Kids have dreams, needs, and goals, and those things often come with a price tag. Starting Tina’s Party Rentals was my way of taking control of my situation and building something meaningful, not just for myself, but for them.

What drew me to this business specifically was the balance it allowed me to create. A bounce house rental business means weekends can be busy, but it also gives me the weekdays to spend more time with my daughters. I wanted to set an example for them—to show them that as women, we have the strength to overcome challenges and build something great. At the end of the day, every step I’ve taken with this business has been for them, and that makes all the hard work worth it.

Q3. How did you get to where you are today business-wise? Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome challenges?

My journey to where I am today was far from easy, but it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It all started when I was laid off from my job. I was unemployed for seven months as a single mother, and that came with significant financial and emotional challenges. It was an incredibly humbling time for me. I had to confront the uncertainty of how I would provide for my family, but it was also the moment that lit a fire within me.

During that period, I realized I never wanted to feel that vulnerable again, and I made a choice to believe fully in God’s promises for my life. It wasn’t just about surviving; it was about stepping into what He said about me—that I am perfectly and wonderfully made. I knew that if I wanted to change my circumstances, I couldn’t rely on my own strength alone. I had to trust that He had my back, even when the path felt daunting or too big for me to walk on my own.

Perseverance and leaning into faith became the keys to overcoming every obstacle. There were moments of doubt and fear, but I focused on His promises and took one step at a time. Starting my business wasn’t an overnight success; it was built on resilience, prayer, and the determination to create something bigger—not just for myself, but for my daughters.

Q4. What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
I’ve learned several profound lessons on this entrepreneurial journey. First and foremost, faith is at the foundation of everything I do. You can make bold steps when you know there’s a greater purpose guiding you. I also learned the importance of resilience. Challenges will come, but it’s how you respond that defines your success. Failure isn’t final; it’s often the setup for your breakthrough.

Another key lesson is the power of community and support. Trying to do everything alone is not only exhausting, but it also limits what’s possible. When I started reaching out for help and involving others in my vision, I found that people were eager to support someone who is genuinely passionate about their goals.

Finally, I’ve learned to keep my “why” front and center. For me, this business is about so much more than providing a service. It’s about showing my daughters that while adversity is unavoidable, it doesn’t have to define you. You can choose to rise above it, dream big, and turn those dreams into something real.

If there’s one thing I want people to know, it’s that my story is one of hope. Tina’s Party Rentals started from a place of challenge, but it grew into something that represents joy, possibility, and faith. We don’t just provide elegant bounce houses; we aim to create unforgettable memories and bring people together.

What makes this brand special to me is the legacy it represents. It’s not just about creating a business; it’s about instilling hope in others. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my bestie’s in town, you KNOW we’re creating a whole vibe for her visit. We’re talking food, fun, and a little bit of chaos, with a side of tacos (because priorities). Here’s how the week would go:

Day One:
We’re kicking things off with brunch. Honestly, any spot with a patio is up for debate, but somewhere with bottomless mimosas and good girl talk (aka chisme) is top-tier! Afterward, we’d hit a cute nail salon and do retail therapy at the mall.

Day Two:
This day is dedicated to tacos. Yes, a whole day. We’d go on a taco tour, hitting up my favorite taco spots and rating each one. Clearly, margaritas are involved, because what are tacos without margaritas? It’s all about balancing vibes and flavors, you know?

Day Three:
The morning would start early (like 6 a.m. early) for a hike at Cedar Ridge Preserve. The views and peacefulness are unbeatable, and I love going first thing to beat the heat. Balance is key, though, so naturally, we’d grab tacos immediately after. Hiking AND tacos in one morning? Chef’s kiss.

Day Four:
We’re keeping it classy with dinner at Sky Blossom. Their rooftop vibes are everything, with views of downtown Dallas that are absolutely unmatched. It’s classy but chill at the same time, perfect for a night of good food and city lights. It’s also Instagram gold, but that’s just a bonus.

Day Five:
We’d probably spend this day being gym girls (because yes, even on vacation, we don’t skip). Post-workout, we’d hang out at home, order takeout, and binge true-crime documentaries. Because, honestly, introvert life is real, and sometimes staying in with your bestie is the ultimate plan.

Day Six:
Shopping round two is a must. Maybe somewhere new to explore local boutiques and smaller shops. Then we’d wind down with snacks and just chill. At this point, I think we’d both secretly be ready for her to go home (no offense). That’s the beauty of being introverts and close friends—we can totally read when we both need our space. That’s why we click!

And that’s the week! A mix of food, fun, tacos (yes, again), and downtime. It’s low-key but still so full of good vibes and all the things that make life sweet.

When I think about the people who have shaped my story and supported my success, there’s no way I can limit my gratitude to just one person—I am who I am because of my incredible tribe.
First, my mother has been my rock in so many ways. She’s been my therapist, my cheerleader, and honestly, my safe place whenever life felt like too much. Whenever I doubted myself, she reminded me of who I really am and encouraged me to keep pushing forward, no matter what. She’s the type of woman who speaks life into you when you’ve forgotten how to do it yourself.
My sisters also deserve a massive shoutout. These women have been my constant best friends, my soundboards, and my biggest hype team. Whether it’s encouraging me to take risks, reassuring me they’ll have my back no matter the outcome, or just sharing a laugh when I need it the most, they’ve been there through it all. Knowing I have their unconditional support has given me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and chase my dreams.

But above all, my daughters are my daily inspiration. Every single thing I do is for them. They are my reason, my “why.” Seeing their faces reminds me that I can’t give up—I have to keep showing up for them, not just as their mom but as a woman who leads by example. They teach me to dream bigger, work harder, and strive to be better every day, not just for their future, but for my own growth, too.
