We had the good fortune of connecting with Dallas Wise and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dallas, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought was that since I love baking pastries I should start selling them, especially cookies. That’s why when I turned nine years old I decided to take a online entrepreneur class in 2020.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others is that I make different types of pastries, especially cookies. My cookies are as big as the size of your palm. The different varieties of my cookies set me apart. On my menu I also have different kinds of pastries like brownies, cake pops, sugar cookie cakes, chocolate chip cookie cakes, and cupcakes. The thing that I am most proud of is my ability to pick up how to make pastries I have never baked before. I am most excited being able to go to events and selling my cookie with other vendors. How I got here today promoting, getting myself out there, and balancing school and my business at the same time. Those steps were not easy because the hardest step is balancing school and my business. I am still having trouble with balancing both of them today. How I overcame those challenges was by having to get advice from other people especially my mom whose has had a catering business for the past 15 years. The lessons I have learned along the way is to always stay focused, get enough rest, and do not get frustrated if it gets hard. I want the world to know that a young entrepreneur like me can get to the top and know that any kid or teenager can turn there hobby into their career.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The first place I would want to go is the local arcade. They have unlimited games that you can play for a low price. One more place that I would like to go to go eat is a Tex-Mex restaurant. Tex-Mex is my favorite type of food to eat. In general, I would want to go any where my friend says he would want to go even if it is just staying at home.
