We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffiney L. Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffiney L., can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
PosiTiff, LLC. was founded as a means to empower women who find themselves struggling with showing up in the world as their authentic self. Many women struggle with having “real” connections and support from other women, as they navigate their way along the journey of life. PosiTiff hosts events that, educate, provide insight, and support to women to live a positive life on purpose.

As a survivor of domestic violence I wanted to share how I changed my belief and shes the shame that comes along with that. I am blesses to now live a life I love, I’m a space of authenticity. This book is my way of reaching and share with more people a how to manifest abundance, blessings, and a positive life on purpose.

What should our readers know about your business?
In 2005, I almost died as a result of domestic violence. I felt so much shame because there was so much judgment and speculation about the situation. I once reached out for help and the advocate with the organization asked “what’s wrong you, how did reconcile with somebody that tried to kill you?” My reply, I remember like it was just yesterday “please tell me how to turn the love switch off,” to which she had no response. I was even more ashamed and vowed to never seek help again.

Over the years as I’ve done my healing work, matured, failed time and time again, I finally figured something out, there was no need to be ashamed. I gained the confidence to speak openly about that shame, some not so great decisions that I made, and I also began to share the work I’ve gone to get to the point I’m at in my life today. I’m happy, Mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would venture to Washington, DC, see the monuments, and eat at my favorite restaurant Georgia Brown’s.

We would go to MGM National Harbor. Do some shopping, catch a show, eat at Voltaggio Brother’s Steakhouse, and of course gamble just a bit.

We would go to Baltimore Inner Harbor, sightsee and go on a late night boat cruise.

In my hometown, Harrisburg, PA, we would go to the Broadstreet Market and get some good food, it’s an indoor farmers type market, visit Nyeusi Art Gallery, and simply walk along the riverfront and take in the beautiful scenery.

Oh, most definitely what I’ve been doing more of lately. Catch a train to New York City and hang out in Times Square. My daughter and I did some sightseeing while I was there for a speaking engagement in July and we walked over 18,000 steps in a matter of hours.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost God, there’s no way I could be doing this without believing in a power greater than myself. My husband Jay, he’s been so supportive on this journey as I transitioned from being a full-time nurse to a full-time entrepreneur. I wasn’t this “Tiffiney Hall” when we got married seven years ago. I know I wouldn’t be able to do what I’m doing to the extent that I’m doing it without my husband being my backbone.

My son and my daughter, James and Jaylin (Jay). They experienced my lowest of lows and never wanted to leave my side. In the tough times, we found a way to keep our home full of love and laughter. They are my motivation. I want my children to believe, no matter how old they are that anything is possible. Plus, they keep me current on the things the young people understand that I have not a clue about.

My mom, I know no matter what she is proud of me, she’s supportive, and she loves me. I appreciate her for that. There wouldn’t be a me if it wasn’t for my mom!

My PosiTiff Tribe, the words of encouragement keep me going. I receive messages and I cry. I’m just doing what I feel is right and good. I never imagined it would have an impact on so many people like it has.

My sister/cousins, they keep me grounded and that is so important to me.

My right hand, Ms. CSM herself, Tajuanna Franklin! She has been on this journey with me and she seen me at a point where no too many people have. She knows the story behind my journey and I love her for keeping me covered, protected, and correcting me when I’m off.
