We had the good fortune of connecting with Tequilla Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tequilla, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
As a parent I feel me having an idea, building off that idea and creating a successful business has impacted my children the most. Showing them that if you truly believe in yourself you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to. In doing so this has shown them that hard work, consistency and dedication pays off!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Qui Cajun is an awesome Seasoning blend company. What sets us apart from other spice blends on the market, is you only need Qui Cajun to give you the flavor you crave without lots of sodium. I am overly excited about the response, and how quickly people felt my blends were a must have in their pantry. Getting to where we are today has been both easy and challenging at times. It was easy because blending and creating my recipe was a no brainier, learning the market, finding good product vendors to minimize the cost was a little challenging. One lesson I learned along the way is that consumers want product consistency. Therefore before we officially launched the recipe had to be perfected for consistent taste. Before Qui Cajun became official it was a blend created by a single mother’s desire to teach her children how to cook and season food for great taste.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area meals would definitely be prepared daily by myself or her. We would likely visit a paint n sip or a good karaoke bar. These days it’s all about relaxation and rejuvenation. Yoga would definitely be incorporated in our daily schedule and of course a spa day somewhere in the itinerary.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my Parents Lynn Thomas & Bernadine Armstead Smith (Deceased) and my loving family Donnell, Romman, Jase, Kye, Halie, Jazzlyn, Danny, and Kamehameha.
