We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Stafford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Photography has been something I have greatly enjoyed since the first class I took in high school. The timing was right and I finally decided to take a leap of faith to start my own photography business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a lifestyle photographer with clients who include graduating seniors, families, couples and weddings. I specialize in natural outdoor settings where I can use nature’s beauty and the sunlight to my advantage. I am a light and airy photographer which helps set me apart from most other photographers in my area. I pride myself on my ability to keep photo shoots light hearted and fun for clients and it warms my heart to have the privilege to capture their special moments. My top priority is to capture the perfect photographs for each and every client and I have been blessed to have some of those moments published. This is something I look forward to for a long time!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being that I live outside of the DFW area and on the edge of the open county, my city is surrounded by many small towns. In those towns there are old time squares with many historic locations and unique business. I would spend the week going to the different towns and exploring the history and the small business within each town square. Along with the town squares there are many places to back country explore and find the beauty in nature. I would take the time to show them the gorgeous rolling fields of wild flowers.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Big shout out to my husband Joshua, parents: Tom and Dana Gaedtke, and in-laws: Jeff and Nancy Stafford. They have supported me throughout the process of creating my own business and brand. They have been there for me, pushing me, every step of the way. Their love and encouragement have helped me get through the rough portions of running my own business and have helped motivate me to keep moving forward. Their support of this endeavor of mine has helped me get to where I am now though I know the work is never over. It is great to know I am surrounded by people who only want what is best for me. I would also like to shout out N-Tex Sand & Gravel and their owners for providing me with knowledge on how to successfully run a small business.
