We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Devecki and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tatiana, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
I would say how much effort and training goes behind permanent make up, a lot of people don’t really know the amount of hours and dedication that hides behind our hands. We as artist have a huge responsibility that must be met with every client. Which is to enhance their beauty and features. When we tattoo permanent brows, eyes or lips we have a huge impact on a woman’s confidence and our they see themselves. If dont deliver we can cause a lot pain and regret which is why I never stop learning and also why adding more knowledge is always a part of my career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Permanent make up and microblading have become huge in the last couple of years. Its an amazing art that if done correctly can give someone confidence, save time and money. I love really when my clients come to their second session which is touch up. This session is important because its when we make the work perfect and long lasting. They come very grateful and happy to see the end result. When they tell me that their mornings go smoother because they don’t have to spend 30-40 minutes trying to get their brows or liner even and they are able to leave the house at any moment and they still have brows! It really makes me feel good as an artist and as a woman to be able to empower or help other women and mothers to feel better about them selves thats a real reward! It makes me really proud of my career and re affirms that i’m on the right path. I think what got me here today would be my stubbornness my husband would say! I get almost obsessive with detail and i don’t stop until i see that what im delivering is good and even then i keep trying for better results. I don’t give up easy on anything, I fight for what I believe and always trying to improve, thats professionally and personally. Its hasn’t been easy overcoming challenges i would say i trust God with everything so insecurities and anxieties are sent straight to him in my prayers! Lessons I’ve learned is that nobody will care about my brand like I do and that I can trust my gut. Its good to ask for advice and mentorship but sometimes is good to do what I believe is best and that can be enough too. I would love for the world to know that is never too late to follow your dream. Its never ok to give up when you believe you can do it! Im creating a brand where helping women smile has been my reward and am looking forward to make more of that happen!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh this question… my best friend moved last year to Spain. It has been really hard for me since i know her my whole life and we have been through so much together. If she was to show up in Dallas I would say lets go have a cold beer, some yummy mexican food and just catch up! We love this place called Vidorra in Dallas, super yummy flaming hot queso!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to thank my husband for being there every-step of the way, for believing and me and supporting our family while I follow my dream and for never letting me give up in my hardest days. Also my family, they have been extremely helpful and loving. They have made it possible for me to educate myself and work . As a mom of two littles its been hard leaving them but i am able to now spend more time with them thanks to the sacrifice of all this amazing people that always believed in me. I would not be where i am today without them. Last for not least My Lord, he has been my rock, my sanity and my encouragement. Holding his hand i can do it all because I am his child.
