We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Over the years, there have been countless moments of wanting to quit, but during those times, I will receive a text message, an email, or inbox message from a customer giving me affirmations, encouragement, or praises on the work that I do. Those messages always come in the moments when I need them most. That is what keeps me going. Other, than that, I actually love what I do. I love creating quality products that make you feel good, smell good, and most importantly, they are healthy for you.

What should our readers know about your business?
Balmz and Bodi Co. is a Natural Beauty and Wellness company. We handcraft natural and organic bath, body, and skincare products. What sets us a apart is that we take more of a holistic health approach to our products. There are a lot of products on the market full of carcinogens and we do our best to ensure that our customers health is our top priority. I a, very proud of my products and what excites me is my customers reactions and feedback.

I got to where I am in business today, by making mistakes, learning as I go, and lots or studying and research. Was it easy? No. Is it easy now? No, its easier in most ways, but entrepreneurship definitely has its challenges, however, I wouldn’t change it for anything. To overcome some of my challenges, it took time, workshops, mentors, courses, etc.

I’ve learned that you have to learn to step out on faith and be willing to get out of your comfort zone.

I want the world to know that Balmz and Bodi Co. was created with the health and wellness of others in my mind and heart. Every product I create is with good intention and I want everyone to know that self-love and self-care is not a selfish thing….at all.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would have brunch at Snooze A.M. Eatery (Addison) Light shopping at the Galleria in Dallas

Massage at Where Body Meets Soul with Erica Lambert (Arlington)

Mani/Pedi at Cowboys Nail Lounge (Arlington)

Lunch at Its So Vegan (Irving)

and Dinner at XOXO Dining Room (Dallas)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this Shoutout to my Mother, Gean and my late Father, Jimmy. My creativity, determination and work ethic is because of them. And lastly, my Husband, Samuel who has been a driving force and a major support in everything I do.
