Hi Shelita, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
By offering advanced tax strategies and various accounting solutions to clients empowers them to safeguard their finances from the IRS. This, in turn, enables them to reinvest in their company, boost cash flow, and foster business growth. By equipping small businesses with essential tools for success, we contribute to the vitality of the US economy, as small businesses play a pivotal role in driving the American economic engine.

What should our readers know about your business?
The journey definitely hasn’t been easy! I’ve been in the accounting profession for 8 years before I started my business. I also remained in Corporate América for 6 more years before I decided to take a jump! There were many bumps and bruises. A recent one was me having to rebrand. The challenge with that, along with being a business in today’s society, is that social media is huge now. So I am overcoming being present on social media platforms. If I could have it my way, I would just sit in my corner and start analyzing and crunching away at numbers. That doesn’t really work for today, people want to see you or at least your brand. Know what they are investing into.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I can’t do anything without my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I thank Him for everything and being my Guiding Light. I have family and friends that supported me throughout my journey that is just too many to name. However, I would like to give a shoutout to Rachel Proctor. I met Rachel as a young adult and she saw something in me that she felt the compassion to nurture. She mentored me and even became my very first client when I started my business. Well, I didn’t even have a business yet, but she would ask for my expertise and tell me to send her an invoice. She believed in me. This was the start of something great.
