We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawn Le Don and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shawn, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my business was trying to find something that could be different than average. Something that wasn’t apart of the “ordinary” or expected.
My thought process was to be creative and also find something that I knew would serve my purpose.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started a clothing brand by the name of FemnFinesse. It supports women in the element of being comfortable. It started with just being a women’s boxer briefs and then I created it into more of a lounge wear that can be worn as a set. So not only is it meant to be worn in the comforts of the home , but can be workout gear or just out and about on a sunny day.

This idea came to me after kind of studying and researching the different styles and designs between men and women that are already out. This idea was also inspired by girlfriends whom enjoy stealing their boyfriend’s clothes. So I decided to do a little combination of the two so that women can still enjoy the comfort in the wear but still feel like themselves.

It was not easy , at first it was a huge challenge trying to find someone to mimick my exact design and find different distributors to be able to do large quantities. When I say patience ? It took a lot. However I remained as cool as I could about it because I was so anxious but I knew if I rushed the process then it wouldn’t be as great as I would’ve wanted.
Along the way I just learned that it’s better to find resources trustworthy either preferred by someone you know or giving it a test first. Which is really hard in this generation today.
However if you don’t take the risk then you’ll never know !

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Bestfriend bestfriend !!
I would probably take them to one of the hottest new brunch spots in the north Dallas area. Trying each one everyday of that week. Then following we would go to a paint & sip , to see a movie, and an art gallery. I would probably even go try a wine tasting event. Just because I have personally never been to one.
I think my bestfriend would enjoy as well!

Some of the most exciting places to checkout are the ones you’ve been hearing about and never went. Also places you’ve never heard of but open to try. I always say have an open mind because it’s not always about what you’re seeing but definitely the experience and creating the memories.
