We had the good fortune of connecting with Sergio Guzman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sergio, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Early on into our Cannabis career we realized that quality control on the consumer level was very low. Most people who were working in sales were not experienced with the products they were selling, whether it be tinctures or flower, and it was hard for consumers to distinguish between which brands are good and which ones to avoid. We decided to become the quality control for the CBD and Hemp industry and we created The Cannabis Library brand in order to market and promote good products and companies within the industry.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are aiming to be the biggest name in Cannabis Marketing and Media. After working in the industry for more than 2 years we have identified the many common issues that cannabis businesses face when marketing and have created media for over 20+ Cannabis Companies so far. The journey to get here was not easy and new challenges are constantly added to our list as we navigate the complicated world of Cannabis legalization and marketing. The way we overcome the challenges is by constantly adapting and being willing to take on risks in order to complete the future vision. A big lesson that we have learned along the way is that when you decide to work in the cannabis industry you have to be ready to adapt, be competitive, and learn as you go. This industry is new and continues to grow so in order to keep up you must do those 3 things. We want our brand to be the place where people who are curious about cannabis look when they are trying to navigate the complicated world of weed. Whether it be looking to travel, market, or create media we are aiming to be the answer for all things cannabis related.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them on a tour of a few different types of venues. I would take them to an outdoor park type of place like Memorial park or Hermann park and I would also make sure to take them to a few great food spots and breweries. I enjoy taking in all aspects of a new city, so when my friends visit I like to give them a tour of all the places they can fit into one trip.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out all the people who continue to fight the battle for Cannabis legalization nationwide, as well as those who promote the industry positively in any way.

I would also like to thank those who have helped our journey along the way like GP, Nicole, Patricia, Darrion and many more.
