We had the good fortune of connecting with Samira Ghani and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Samira, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Our world has become so divided that I wanted to do something that brings us all together. I love international cuisine and I feel that through my work I can bring a deeper understanding of different cultures and foods.. I do monthly episodes of #nohateonmyplate where I feature International bloggers to showcase their ethnic foods. I do countless cooking classes to benefit different charities as well. So in answer to your question the thought process behind slice of gourmet is to bring us all closer together and spread the love through our universal love of good food
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a recipe curator. I love developing fusion recipes that bring us all together. I enjoy creating nutritious food that’s tasty and easy to make.. My primary focus is to support all the causes that I hold dear to me while expressing myself through my culinary passion. One of the most important lessons I have learned is that to live a fulfilled life you must give back every chance you get.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best friend is very low key. So we would probably order out from a few of our favorite places and hang out and chat! Maybe watch a movie together
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband and my kids deserve the biggest shout out for being my biggest cheerleaders. Some of my dearest friends who inspire me daily to be the best version of myself. A huge shoutout to the causes that I support. Being successful at helping others is by far one of my biggest accomplishments
