Meet Samantha Garcia | Sami living her Sweetest Life

We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Samantha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Baking was my escape. As a young girl navigating the everyday challenges of life, I found peace in measuring flour, mixing batter, and watching sweet treats come to life in the oven. It wasn’t just a hobby; it was my therapy. My safe space. I could be in the kitchen for hours, completely zoning out and pouring every ounce of emotion into my creations. By the time I looked up, it would be dark outside and I’d have an entire table full of desserts to show for it.
Ironically, I didn’t get to bake as often as I wanted. I was heavily involved in extracurricular activities, especially sports, which filled up most of my schedule. That’s probably what made baking feel so sacred it was rare, and it was mine.
As time passed, life changed quickly. Today, I’m a proud single mother to an amazing young boy who shares my love for sports and ambition. Motherhood reshaped my perspective. More than anything, I wanted to create a life where he never had to feel limited especially not by money. I wanted him to experience opportunities freely, without the financial strain I often felt growing up.
Then, one ordinary day, something extraordinary happened.
I was scrolling through social media like many of us do and my For You Page was flooded with videos from treat makers showcasing their creations. Cakes, chocolate covered strawberries, gourmet cookies each one more beautiful than the last. I felt a jolt of inspiration. That familiar spark that had once lit up my childhood kitchen was back.
And I thought: I can do that.
That moment changed everything.
Six months ago, I decided to take a leap. I picked up my old passion, dusted it off, and started treating it like a business not just a hobby. Since then, what started as a small, personal venture has grown into something far bigger than I could’ve imagined. Orders started coming in. Customers returned. Word spread. My kitchen became my workspace once again, but this time with purpose and a mission.
Now, treat making isn’t just an outlet for me it’s a bridge between my past and my future. It’s the way I provide for my son, the way I express my creativity, and the way I connect with my community. Every cookie, cupcake, and chocolate dipped creation tells a story. My story.
I’m still learning, growing, and building but I’m doing it on my terms, with heart and hustle. And every time I see the smile on my son’s face or the joy in a customer’s eyes, I’m reminded that this journey is exactly where I’m meant to be.
This is more than baking. This is legacy in the making.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up in a single-mother household, I witnessed firsthand the challenges and sacrifices my mom made. Even when the odds were against her, she found a way to make it work. Her strength and determination left a lasting impression on me I knew from a young age that I wanted to carry those same qualities.
At 16, I started working to help ease some of the burden on my mom. After graduating, I balanced two jobs while attending school, determined to build a better future. Nothing about my journey has been easy, but every step has been earned through hard work and perseverance.
I entered the automotive industry 13 years ago, starting at the very bottom working long hours, weekends, and doing whatever it took to grow. Within just three years, I earned a management position through dedication and a deep desire to learn. The path wasn’t smooth, but I’ve always believed that nothing truly worthwhile comes easy.
There have been many moments where life has felt overwhelming. Being raised in the church, I was taught to pray when life gets heavy to give it to God. That’s something I still carry with me today. When things feel too much, I turn on my worship music, pray, and realign my focus.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me, it’s this: Everything I do, I do with my whole heart. I pour my soul into my work, and I take pride in the journey that’s brought me to where I am today.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since moving from California, I’ve had the pleasure of hosting many friends and family who come to visit. One of my favorite places to take them is the Fort Worth Stockyards there’s just so much history, culture, and entertainment packed into one area. It’s a must see experience that really showcases the heart of Texas.
Another go to spot is Hard 8 BBQ, which was one of the first places I tried when I moved here. The food, the atmosphere it left such a great impression on me that I love sharing that same experience with my guests.
We also enjoy exploring Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth. It’s a great place to walk around, try out local restaurants, and take in the energy of the city. On warmer days, Little Elm Beach is a great escape. We’ll head out there to relax by the water and soak up some sun.
I also enjoy discovering new places and experiences especially things off the beaten path. One time, we randomly came across a strawberry farm and spent the afternoon picking fresh strawberries. It was such a unique and memorable experience, and it’s those spontaneous adventures that often turn out to be the most fun.
Whether it’s revisiting my favorite local spots or finding hidden gems, I always try to create meaningful and memorable moments for the people I care about.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I want to give a special shout to my son the reason behind everything I do. He is my motivation, my purpose, and the driving force behind every long day and late night. I hope he always knows how deeply he is loved and how much he inspires me to keep pushing forward.
I also want to sincerely thank my boyfriend, my family, and my friends for their unwavering support. Whether it’s showing up, cheering me on, or simply believing in me your encouragement means the world, and I truly couldn’t do this without you.
Your love and support keep me grounded, and I’m so grateful to have you by my side on this journey.
