We had the good fortune of connecting with Ronnda Causey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ronnda, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
There was not a defined thought process behind starting my own business. In fact, I started with the intent to strictly provide operational oversight as the owner of a franchise while continuing my full-time corporate career. However, as I started the journey by attending the required franchise induction, I developed an excitement that grew stronger every day. I knew in my heart I was starting something that was going to make a difference in people’s lives, and I could not wait!
I am an encourager by nature and not an entrepreneur, so I recognized I had a new skill set I had to develop quickly and confidently. I worked hard to learn the business aspects while also focusing on how to build a community that welcomes, encourages, and motivates people to live their best lives by investing in their fitness. The thought process was fueled with a passion for fitness, a burden for people and love for a brand.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This past year I transitioned from a full-time corporate career to solely focus on being an entrepreneur. While by far my most challenging professional move, it has proven to be the most rewarding. The greatest accomplishment thus far for me is the community we have built within our business and the relationships that been created as a result. The relationships with our staff and the members are the true reward.
The success of our studios certainly did not come without challenges, as every business had to fight continuously to survive over the past many months. During the difficult times, my passion for the health and wellness kept me motivated. This business provided an opportunity of great significance to me as it allowed me to help people focus on their fitness in such uncertain times and reinforce the importance of self care. Our community rallied around each other providing connection, motivation and support as we navigated each day one class at a time.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My story would not be complete without recognizing the ones who walked with me on this journey….
My husband, Bryan Causey, who patiently encouraged me through the process of becoming an entrepreneur and gave me the confidence to chase this dream. Together we navigated disappointments, successes, challenges and accomplishments. Turns out we make a pretty sensational team.
My family who supported me every step of the way and never missed an opportunity to show up for me. It is a true blessing to have family who are loyal and true friends in addition to being a constant support.
Sheila Jackson at EmergeWell for teaching me to recognize the value of being present in every moment of this life, and giving me the freedom and grace to simply be me.
My amazing F45 Trainers, what a prize collection of talent, passion and kindness. My business would not be complete without these beautiful people and the unique gifts that each one brings to the team.
