We had the good fortune of connecting with Rodriunna Simpson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rodriunna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly, it started as a way out. What I mean by that is that I began to strongly dislike working a 9 to 5. I new something else had to take place in order for me to reach the success I wanted to reach.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am an entrepreneur, author and content creator. I don’t like to put myself into one box because I want to be great at many things. Currently I have one book published: “A Stepchild’s Life” which is available on Amazon. I am the CEO of “The Radiant Effect” which is a cosmetic and beauty line. I also am a content creator with a YouTube channel: “Rodriunna LaShelle”

What sets me apart is that I let God order my steps and I provide items that help others from the inside out.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely hang in deep ellum to sight see and visit a few places. Brunch is always an option at Ida Claire. Dallas has great museums that we could see.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out God and any one who has supported me knowingly or unknowingly.
