We had the good fortune of connecting with Rileigh Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rileigh, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Hi! My name is Rileigh Brown, I am a 15 year old volleyball player from Wylie, Texas.

I come from a family where values run deep—where family, tradition, and resilience are the cornerstones of everyday life. My family includes my mom, dad, brother, grandmothers, aunt, uncles and cousins.

Whether it’s temperament from my father, charisma from my mother or wittiness from my grandmothers, my roots have shaped not only where I come from but also who I am.

Growing up, I was taught to appreciate hard work, to respect others, and to never take opportunities for granted. My life has been full of lessons. I have learned early that success isn’t just about talent—it’s about grit, patience, and the people who lift you up along the way.

I’m driven, grounded, and deeply aware of how my past fuels my ambitions. I carry myself with pride and the responsibility to make the most of what I’ve been given. My background isn’t just a part of my story—it’s the foundation of it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would say my favorite spots in the area would be The Stonebriar Mall and the sand courts that are about 10 minutes from my house.
