Meet Rebecca Nietert | Home Watch Professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Nietert and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rebecca, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As someone who has owned multiple homes at once, I’ve personally faced the challenges of managing properties from afar. I vividly recall a particular incident when severe weather caused pipes to burst, and I was a plane ride away. My neighbors, though well-meaning, were unsure how to handle the situation. That experience was a wake-up call.
I realized how critical it is to have a reliable, professional service homeowners can trust to keep an eye on their properties. That’s why I founded LoneStar Home Watch—to provide peace of mind at an affordable cost. Whether homeowners are traveling, managing multiple properties, or simply leaving their homes unoccupied for an extended time, our services ensure their investments are protected, and any issues are addressed promptly.

What should our readers know about your business?
LoneStar Home Watch is a premier home watch company serving the North Dallas area. We specialize in providing visual inspections of unoccupied homes to identify potential issues before they become costly problems. What truly sets us apart is our commitment to delivering peace of mind through a tailored, professional, and detail-oriented service. We offer fixed flat-rate pricing with no long-term contracts, ensuring transparency and flexibility for our clients. Additionally, we are licensed, bonded, and insured, which reinforces the trust and reliability we strive to build with every homeowner.
What I’m most proud of is the trust we’ve earned from our clients and the relationships we’ve built along the way. Knowing that we’re able to provide homeowners with peace of mind—whether they’re traveling, managing multiple properties, or simply away for an extended time—brings immense satisfaction. It’s exciting to see how our services have become a vital solution for so many in the community.
Getting to where we are today hasn’t been without its challenges. One of the biggest hurdles has been educating the public about what Home Watch services are and why they’re essential. Many homeowners aren’t familiar with the concept, so we’ve focused on spreading awareness through social media, partnerships with real estate and insurance agents, and benefit-focused marketing. Overcoming this challenge has required persistence, creativity, and a deep belief in the value of what we offer.
The journey has taught me some invaluable lessons. I’ve learned the importance of listening to clients, adapting to their needs, and always prioritizing excellent customer service. It’s also reinforced the value of hard work, strategic planning, and continuous growth.
What I want the world to know about LoneStar Home Watch is that we’re more than just a service—we’re a trusted partner for homeowners. Our mission is to provide peace of mind, protect valuable investments, and build lasting relationships through exceptional care. At the heart of our brand is a genuine passion for helping others and ensuring their homes are in safe hands.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I’d make sure they had an unforgettable time exploring the best that North Texas has to offer! Here’s how I’d plan a week-long adventure:
Day 1: Exploring Dallas
We’d kick off with a visit to the iconic Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, diving into the history of the JFK assassination. Afterward, we’d stroll through the beautiful Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, soaking in the serene landscapes. To wrap up the day, we’d enjoy dinner at my favorite restaurant, Truluck’s in Dallas, where the seafood is divine, and the atmosphere is perfect for a special evening.
Day 2: Skyline Views & Nightlife
We’d spend the day exploring the city of Dallas, taking in the stunning skyline and visiting unique neighborhoods. In the evening, it’s all about laughter and music—checking out a comedy club in Addison, followed by a night at a jazz bar for some soulful tunes.
Day 3: Outdoor Adventures
North Texas has so much natural beauty to offer, so we’d head out for a day of fishing, hiking, and biking. Whether it’s a local trail or a peaceful spot near the water, it’s a great way to recharge and enjoy the outdoors.
Day 4: High-Octane Fun
For a thrill, we’d rent sports cars and hit the Texas Motor Speedway for an unforgettable driving experience. It’s such a unique and exhilarating way to spend the day!
Day 5-6: Lakehouse Retreat
We’d escape to our lovely Lakehouse at Lake Fork for some relaxation and fun by the water. It’s the perfect spot for fishing, boating, and unwinding in nature while enjoying quality time with loved ones.
Day 7: Family & Quiet Moments
To round out the week, we’d spend time with the people who matter most—my five children, my eldest’s fiancé, and my closest friends. My husband and I love hosting dinners, watching movies, and simply sharing quiet, meaningful moments with those we cherish.
North Texas is such a vibrant and diverse area, and I love how it offers something for everyone—from history and culture to outdoor adventures and nightlife. It’s always a joy to share these experiences with the people I love most.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve had the privilege of learning from some incredible thought leaders and resources throughout my journey. Carl Sewell’s book “Customers for Life” profoundly shaped my understanding of customer service and the importance of building lasting relationships. William Deming’s business theories taught me the value of continuous improvement and strategic growth. I’ve also gained valuable insights from Dale Carnegie seminars and numerous business development courses over the years.
These experiences have instilled in me the importance of hard work, personal growth, and moving in the right direction. They not only fueled my success during a 15-year career in real estate but also equipped me with the tools to communicate effectively, navigate challenges, and create meaningful solutions. Each of these influences has played a role in shaping who I am today and the values I bring to LoneStar Home Watch.
