We had the good fortune of connecting with Raven Bradford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raven, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The biggest factor behind my success is my faith and my kids. Photography isn’t just my job — it’s how I provide for them and also a way I serve. My kids keep me grounded and pushing forward, and my faith reminds me that my gift will always make room for me. That’s what drives me to keep showing up, growing, and creating.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Rae Arelle Photography, was built on faith, family, and a love for telling stories through images. It hasn’t been an easy road — moving states, raising my kids, and building from scratch all at once — but those challenges shaped me. What sets me apart is that I don’t just take pictures, I create an experience that feels personal, timeless, and true to my clients.

I’m most proud of how far I’ve come with consistency and how I’ve been able to show my kids what it looks like to chase a dream and keep going even when it’s hard. Photography is my art, but it’s also my ministry. Every shoot is a reminder that my gifts make room for me, and that’s what I want the world to know about me and my brand.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love showing people around Dallas, especially downtown. We’d definitely hop on the M-Line Trolley — it’s such a fun and free way to see the city. I’d take them to Klyde Warren Park to just chill, grab food from the food trucks, and people-watch. For dinner, I love Deep Ellum — the energy, the murals, the live music, it’s always a vibe. And of course, no trip is complete without swinging by Trinity Groves for good food and a view of the skyline. Dallas has so much culture and character, I never get tired of exploring it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes to my daughter. She’s my little truth-teller — if she doesn’t like a photo, no one will ever see it.
Her honesty keeps me sharp and makes me better. She pushes me to keep growing and reminds me why I do what I do in the first place.
