We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Nesloney and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Setting goals. I feel like setting goals not only for my blog but in general helps me succeed. I set my mind to something and I do it. I’ve always been told that I’m relentless! Set your goals and make them HAPPEN!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started The Bark Blogger over three years ago now and WOW I can’t believe how fast it’s flown by. It’s been such a fun and creative space for me and I’m grateful for it every single day. The dog mom/blog community is such a positive and encouraging place. I’m most proud knowing I started everything myself, including my website! I don’t even know how I did it but I figured it out. It’s been a learning process over the years and I’ve learned a lot! I’m thankful every day for a space for me to use all my passions: dogs, writing, content creation, DIY, etc. Here’s to hopefully many more years doing what I love!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

My husband. Sounds cliché but I can’t imagine doing this without such a supportive partner. He is my number one cheerleader and is always there when I’m doubting or questioning what I’m doing. I’m so thankful for him and his ongoing support.
