We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rachel, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
When you’re building from scratch the grind is hard. It’s easy to give up because you look around sometimes comparing yourself to others and where they are. But I’ve learned anything worth having is worth the hard work that comes with it.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It definitely was not easy. It’s taken a lot of prayer, strength and grind to make it to today. I’ve learned that patience truly is key. If something doesn’t work find another route. Example: Advertisement can get pretty expensive! I stay heavy on handing out business cards, take time to speak with my customers and I offer a lot of raffles !
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh goodness where do I start! There are so many choices but if I just had to decide here a few of my favorites!
Ashen Rose – Local Bar in Greenville Tx down town (amazing bartender and cooks!)
Shenanigans – Rockwall has so many things to do, there’s an arcade, laser tag , great food!
Majestic 12 – Located in Greenville Tx I’ve seen many movies here and have made great memories with friends and family!
My husband and I actually had our first date here after dinner at the local Cotton Patch.
I personally love fishing so I’d take my friend to the lake either Lake Tawakoni, Lake Texoma or Lake Cooper! Nothing like a day in the sun swimming and grilling with friends and family!!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wonderful husband Lyle Davis He’s been a huge rock for me. He’s seen me succeed, fail , almost give up. He’s continued to support me no matter what it has entailed. Getting up at 5am to help me set up at a vendor events, going to pick up equipment to help me grow. No matter what it’s been his support has never wavered. I couldn’t have asked for a better loving and supportive husband!
