We had the good fortune of connecting with Qiana Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Qiana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had a terrible experience at my own wedding. I thought to myself after my wedding planner fiasco that I could do this better. I understand what it feels like to not have my voice heard and to feel helpless and upset on my special day. I made a vow that I could and would wedding plan and decorate only with the client in mind. I wanted to turn a negative into a positive by helping others. It is so paramount to me to put the client first in everything that I do. Regular communication, planning and preparation is key for successoful events. I pride myself on how much I can delight my clients. I treat my clients like family. Going through the pandemic has taught me that gathering with family and friends is precious and each special event should be unique and wonderful. That’s what we do at Rapid Force Events.
What should our readers know about your business?
Our story is simple. It was born out of a desire to treat people the way we want to be treated. Everyone wants to feel like royalty on their special day and we are here to make that happen. No matter whether your celebration is large or small we want to work with you to realize your vision. We know that we get one shot to get this right. We believe in paying attention to detail and making your day as special as we can possibly make it. Our brand is simple – Your Special Day, Our Passion. We literally consider this in everything we do.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I live in Frisco and have for many years. Collin County has many great places to visit. Since I love to eat and incorporate entertainment with food, I’d take my friend to The Star at the Ford Center. My favorite restaurant is The Common Table on Saturday for brunch followed by a little shopping at Heirloom Haul and the Cowboys Shop. No visit to Frisco would be complete without visiting the Shops at Legacy West. There you must eat at Haywire and listen to some live music at Legacy Hall. We’d then go visit Frisco Square and eat at Babe’s Chicken followed by a visit to the Frisco Train Museum. We could then visit the food truck park in downtown Frisco followed by a trip to the Farmers Market. If there are an FC Dallas game, we could catch a soccer match and then eat Best Thai. And if we didn’t get enough sports then we could also go see the Frisco Rough riders at Riders Field. What’s neat about this is we then get to see an awesome fire works display. There are many more places to go but I am now tired so will need some great food and drinks at Moxie ‘s.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shootout to my Husband. He believes in my goals dreams and passions. He always tells me that I can do anything I set my mind to. When I tell him all the crazy things I want to do, he’s always down to help. He thinks I’m crazy in a good way and supports me to the end. My Husband is a special person that teaches me how to be a better person everyday.
