We had the good fortune of connecting with Priyesh Patel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Priyesh, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Think about it, everything you do on a daily basis is a risk to some degree… crossing the street, getting new equipment to work with, and to the extreme, starting a business. However, with preparation, whether that be through life experiences, common sense, or some form of training, you can mitigate it. The aim is to try and prepare as best you can, for those daily tasks, such as crossing the street, it becomes second nature, for the rest, set your goal and go for it, just don’t give up if you don’t get your desired result right away…. Overcome that obstacle and move forward. Sometimes you have to slice up the bigger goals to make them more manageable, which is what I did when I started my business… cutting the big picture down to things like, how much money I needed to raise or deciding on which equipment I needed to invest in immediately. Eventually, you end up with a viable and successful business… now with a whole different set of risks to manage.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At RAO Central Studios Photography, our goal is to create memorable moments by shooting fun, laid-back, casual photography sessions. We listen to our clients’ needs/wants we get to know them, their family, the message they are trying to convey, and transform that into photos they are proud to display and show off. We are equipped to handle all sorts of photography, not just your everyday portraits, new-born and senior photos, we even photograph products, from large items such as cars and planes to smaller objects like vases and glassware, we also photograph landscapes. Our excitement comes from seeing our customer’s reaction to seeing their vision transformed into the photographs we produce. Getting feedback like “You were able to listen to what was in my head, and make it a reality.” is the icing on the cake we all love to eat.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Depending on the weather, we’d start off with a little Kayaking on White Rock Lake or sitting out on a patio somewhere, perhaps a happy hour over in Uptown or on Greenville Avenue. Maybe catch some live music over in Deep Ellum after.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I have to thank my parents, family, and friends for giving me their support and encouragement over the years, the thanks don’t end there either, I would also like to thank my customers for their support, recommendations, and continued business.
