Meet OG Lincoln | Music Producer / Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with OG Lincoln and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi OG, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I never chased what was hot for the week. I built a sound that feels like history and the future had a conversation and I recorded it. Sampling those classic records, flipping them into something brand new, and making sure no two beats feel like reruns. That gave artists something they cannot download from a “type beat” search.
Second is real involvement. I am not just sending files. I am in the studio, shaping the song, coaching energy, mixing, structuring, helping turn a vibe into a record. That makes artists trust me with their sound, not just a session.
And third is consistency when nobody was clapping. I kept cooking when the room was quiet. Now the same pressure that could have broke me built the brand. OG Lincoln is not just beats. It is a sound, a standard, and a work ethic artists respect before they even press play.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is really about turning feeling into soundtracks for real life. I build records that feel like memories you forgot you had, then knock with drums that still shake trunks. I came up sampling soulful, classic music and flipping it into something modern and hard, but still emotional. That balance is what sets me apart. You can feel the story in my beats, not just the bass.
What makes me different is I am not just a “send the pack” producer. I am hands on. I help shape the record, the energy, the structure, even the confidence in the booth. I care about the final product like my name is in the song title. That is a big reason artists keep coming back to work with me. They are not just getting beats, they are getting direction, sound, and someone who wants the record to win as much as they do.
I am most proud of building a real sound and real relationships. Working on major projects, helping craft albums, and seeing artists level up with music we created from scratch is a different kind of feeling. Especially coming from where I started, just a kid with software, headphones, and big ideas.
It definitely was not easy. There were a lot of quiet seasons. Times where I was grinding heavy and it felt like nobody noticed. Sending beats that never got opened. Pulling up to sessions that went nowhere. Watching other people pop while I was still building. That part tests you for real.
I got through it by staying consistent and getting better instead of getting bitter. Every slow period became training. I studied music deeper, improved my mixes, tightened my drums, learned how to move with artists, not just email them. I also learned that talent gets you in the room, but professionalism keeps you there.
Biggest lessons I learned
• Your sound is your fingerprint. If you chase trends, you disappear when they do
• Relationships matter more than clout
• Being reliable is just as valuable as being creative
• Growth happens in private before it shows up in public
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is this. OG Lincoln is not just a producer tag. It stands for quality, originality, and records that actually mean something. I come from real grind, real sessions, real development. I am here to build timeless music, not just viral moments.
This is not overnight success. This is years of sharpening the craft until the door finally opened, and I was ready when it did

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
That shoutout goes to my mom, no question.
If you look at my story from the outside, you see the music, the placements, the studio life, the brand. What you do not always see is the person who believed in me before any of this made sense on paper. My mom supported a dream that did not come with a job application or a guaranteed paycheck. She trusted my vision when it was just me, a computer, and long nights figuring things out.
She gave me the freedom to create, the encouragement to keep going when it was slow, and the discipline to take it seriously instead of treating it like a hobby. A lot of my work ethic comes straight from watching her handle life and still show up for me.
So yeah, the sound might be OG Lincoln, but the foundation under all of it is my mom. She deserves a big piece of any success my name is attached to
