Meet N’kole Bryant | Founder/CEO/Speaker/Triple Negative Breast Cancer Survivor

We had the good fortune of connecting with N’kole Bryant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi N’kole, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Empowerment is one of the values that I hold dear to my heart. It means having the confidence, courage, and ability to pursue your goals and dreams, regardless of the obstacles or challenges you may face.
Empowerment is not something that is given to you by others, but something that you create for yourself.
One statement that I think captures the value of empowerment is:
“Empowerment is not about controlling others or imposing your will on them. It is about liberating yourself from your own fears and limitations, and empowering others to do the same.” – Anonymous

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My personal story took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer at the age of 37. This was a devastating blow that challenged my physical, mental, and emotional health. However, it also gave me an opportunity to reflect on my life purpose and priorities, and this led me to create, WarriorQueen. WarriorQueen was created to educate and raise awareness about breast cancer, specifically, triple negative breast cancer. I decided to use my story as a source of strength and hope for myself and others. I shared my journey through blogs, podcasts, and videos that documented my challenges and triumphs. I also joined support groups and networks that connected me with other survivors who shared their stories with me. Through these platforms, I received and offered support, encouragement, and inspiration. My story also led me to pursue a career in the entertainment and nonprofit industries. I realized that I wanted to use my skills and talents to create meaningful and engaging content that can entertain, educate, and inspire audiences across different media platforms.
I am a storyteller, a multimedia journalist, who believes in the power of stories to inspire change and healing. As an activist, community leader, triple negative breast cancer survivor, and worker in the entertainment and nonprofit industries, I have witnessed and experienced how stories can shape our identities, connect us with others, and motivate us to take action. As I grew older, I realized that stories are not only a form of expression, but also a tool for transformation. I became an activist for social justice causes that I cared about, such as racial equality, women’s rights, and environmental protection. I joined various organizations and movements that used storytelling as a way to raise awareness, educate, and mobilize people.
WarriorQueen will be hosting our first event this October for breast cancer awareness month. The event is WarriorQueen’s 1st Annual Mammo & Margs which will be held at the Urban Arts Center, October 14, 2023, 1PM-4PM. We will have vendors, health professionals discussing breast and mental health, along with tons of other fun things. You all should definitely come out because Early Detection Saves Lives.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting for the week, first we would have to go to The Harbor in Rockwall for some food and karaoke. Next on the list, is The Freeman for some live music, great food, and awesome drinks. For some awesome cajun food & some of the dopest named daiquiris in the city I would take my bestie to Mardi Gras Cajun Cuisine. Then, we would end the weekend with a bbq/cookout, going to Sandaga on Saturday night for live music, DJs, and dancing, and finally go to Pan African Connection and The African American Museum.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my Shoutout to my Suits For Judah teammates (Judah Agbonkhina, Kenneth Horne, Latasha Wright, Avie Warren)!! These are some of Dallas’ Finest creators & innovators, and it is an honor to be a part of an Award Winning Nonprofit Corporation such as Suits For Judah.
