We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nikki, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
How to help other makeup artist and makeup lovers get the best quality products and service different than what’s out there.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career in the beauty industry started off in retail. While working in retail at MAC, traveling with the Morphe Team, and curating looks for other local businesses I fell in love with creating beauty products and making women and men feel good about them selves on the inside as well as the outside. It was not easy traveling and being a single Mom but it is something that gave me more experience and growth with balancing being a mom and career woman. I overcame a lot of challenges throughout my journey by having confidence in myself. I tapped more into my mental health and spirituality to help me keep my mental foundation strong, I suggest that to anyone pushing for success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First things first we are headed to North Park Mall! Shopping is a must and can’t miss out on the latest fashion styles and North Park events that they have throughout the year. Fuel City Tacos for lunch with Margaritas and south Dallas to meet up with old friends and snack spots. We would end the night partying in downtown Dallas at Egusi or a roof top spot with good music and cultured food.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely want to give a shout out to my family and business partners who believed in my vision from the start. My business would not be thriving if it wasn’t for the consistency of my family helping me financially and helping me pack orders for my business as well as my partners introducing me to a wider audience.
