We had the good fortune of connecting with Natali Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natali, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Right out of high school, I went to an acting conservatory in Dallas, called K.D. Studio, but that also taught us the starting point of the entertainment industry business side of things, which I’m so thankful for, but made me fall in love with both sides of the camera, being an actress, producer, to 15 other positions behind the camera, ha! Also, being in the music industry for two decades now. I’ve been in and out of the music scene with booking live bands to music supervision in film. I did also audition to be an MTV VJ, when that existed, but that’s a different conversation, ha!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One of the most beautiful things I love about being an artist is when things happen organically, but also those things that provide no explanation and are just beautiful, for a lack of better words. One of the first movies I did in 2003 was called The Deadbeat Club and it changed my life. I was fortunate enough to play a person that existed in real life that impacted a person’s life in one day and died in a house fire, that same night…. based on a true story. I was just watching us burn a house down, reacting the moment, not thinking anything into character, but just sitting there watching, but literally something swept over me like I was watching myself dying in a fire, like how they see you over see, I was all of a sudden there, not looking for, nor expecting it. I might sound crazy, I wasn’t looking or asking for it, but just beautiful how it came out of nowhere and, aside from this moment alone, I feel like there’s things that are so much deeper, that we are afraid to touch. As artists, we go through phases, we lose ourselves, personal life happens, adventures change us, but sometimes things happen that have no explanation and honestly, are beyond words. Call it beautiful, organic, weird…. who cares, But right now especially, any part you feel as an artist, hold onto that and your truth. That makes you, you and how you stand out. No matter what anyone thinks.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being a Dallas native, but also a floater, I’m a stickler for Italian and one of my favorite restaurants hands down is Campisis off Mockingbird (the original), but the one off Elm St. is amazing too! White Rock Lake is always an easy go to relax. I’ve upped by BBQ expectations now, and Sideways BBQ on the outskirts of Dallas in Rockwall is always a fave too, the view on the lake is perfect, just to add to the amazing food! Dallas has grown so much, and is still growing! That’s only my first two spots off the top of my head, but can keep going.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I went from wanting to be a Vet, to an FBI agent, to Forensic Psychologist, then realizing I can live all of these lives as an actress. It came down to learning what was behind all these different ways of life, but the psychological process behind it all, it’s never ending! I remember the exact place I was sitting at this acting conservatory called K. D. Studio in Dallas and we were in a psychology class and I remember thinking… “I’m always going to keep learning in this industry, and this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.” And I do have the school’s director at that time, and still who I consider a long term mentor, T. A. Taylor to thank for that.  I’ve had so many experiences in the acting process from being crazy spiritual experiences, to just being natural, but it all originated from T.A. and K.D. Studio. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had many teachers since then, but that place helped me realize my first love.
